REVIEW on ETUDE HOUSE Double Lasting Foundation.
Among foundations that I have ever tried,
ESTEE LAUDER Double Wear boasts
the moist silky texture and adheres well on skin.
But ETUDE Double Lasting Foundation
changed my mind ^^
When it was only sold via online,
I couldn’t see it in offline stores.
But to reply customers’ opinion,
ETUDE decided to put this foundation in offline stores from June.
Other than this product,
there are also other products
that had been only was in online store
and now can be seen in offline stores 🙂
As this kind of products
have lots of positive feedback,
I tend to trust those feedback and try the products.
ETUDE HOUSE Double Lasting Foundation
has 5 tones.
Simple and neat box.
Various tones of Double Lasting Foundation
considers various skin tones.
What a delicate consideration.
Doesn’t look like ETUDE.
We just need to pump the cap.
Though the container is pumping type,
there are less number of faulty ones.
So we don’t need to worry.
From left, Pear, Beige, Vanilla, Sand, and Tan.
Spread them a little.
Moist and light foundation.
Spread them all on skin.
Some of you are getting information only through online.
So I tried my best to show you actual colors of foundation.
Pear is a beige color with pink base.
Looks little like a neutral beige when spread.
But bright pink base stands out after absorption.
If you are using bright tones such as #13 and #17,
this tone will fit your skin tone.
I don’t know how it will look like on skin using #13.
Anyway, it will look good on skin with bright tone.
This color’s for cool tone skin.
Beige has tone of so called #21.
It’s an ivory base.
Has similar tone to ESTEE LAUDER Double Wear Bone 17.
As it’s an ivory base, we cannot expect brightness.
It rather accomplishes even skin tone.
Vanilla is like #19 to #20.
It has pink base.
As it adds red to the skin, it vitalizes skin.
But if you have ruddy skin,
it will not look that good on your skin.
Sand is a neutral base tone.
According to ETUDE, it’s like #22 to #23.
To be specific, it doesn’t look like #22.
When it tones down a little after absorption,
it looks like #23.
Is it a pink base..? It’s hard to say.
ETUDE describes it as #23.
But it doesn’t look bright enough…
It will look good on skin that is darker than #23.
I’ll try Vanilla.
This product needs to be shaken before use.
Shake it and use.
Spreads evenly and well.
Moist and light when applying.
Accomplishes sturdy finish at the end.
Feels like it’s adhering well on skin.
Applied foundation and put on glasses.
Not much amount of foundation stained the glasses.
It was so amazing.
So I took picture of it.
If I used other foundations, twice that amount
would have stained the glasses. Amazing….
Adheres really well and lasts really long.
That’s why ETUDE started to sell this product offline.
As it has 5 tones, not numbers,
it will make you think a lot.
FYI, my skin has both cool and warm tone.
Usually, I use #21 and bright #23.
With Vanilla, face looks bright
while Beige presents even skin tone.
With Vanilla, as face looks bright and pure,
pure makeup with just brow and mascara looks fine.
But with Beige,
though it presents even skin tone, face looks pale.
So I tend to do intense color makeup in that case.
All the tones except for Beige
has pink base in it.
Only Beige has yellow tone.
Pear is like #17.
Tan darker than #23.
Sand and Tan will be useful
when doing makeup for men.
Anyway, I don’t know whether it will last 24 hours or not.
But it definitely sustains well against sweat and oily touch.
Foundations with sturdy finish are useful during summer.
Silky and smooth ones cause holes in the pores when sebum comes out.
Moist ones break down too soon.
So I’m recommending sturdy foundations for summer
as they adhere well on skin and last quite long.
Double Lasting Foundation not only has sturdy texture,
but also spreads evenly.
Seems like it’s coating skin.
So no hair sticking on face.
Sustains well against sweat and sebum.
So it’s a really useful foundation during summer.
If you have dry skin, you will feel little bit of dryness.
But as I always say, with thorough basic skin care,
almost all foundation can be used even on dry skin ^^
if you are allergic to alcohol,
think about it once more.
My skin is so sensitive to alcohol
that my skin turns red and swells even with a perfume.
When testing this foundation, my skin also got red and swollen…
Looked at the ingredient.
Alcohol was the 8th.
It’s a really good foundation.
But we cannot let it mess with our skin.
So make sure your skin is okay with alcohol!
